Hot water dissolves grease rather than shifting it, which is why hot units clean faster in food processing, workshops and transport washdown, and why water over 80 degrees is used where sanitising is required. Diesel fired models carry a burner and fuel tank, so see heating coil and burner parts for servicing. Where grease is not the issue, an electric cold water pressure cleaner is the cheaper machine to run.
